Die Geräte von TP-Lin, D-Link und Asus werden durch Aufspielen einer neuen Firmware in eine Meteobridge verwandelt. Durch Aufspielen einer neuen Firmware geht die Herstellergarantie verloren. Das heisst, wenn das Gerät danach nicht mehr funktioniert, kann man sich nicht mehr an den Hersteller weden. smartbedded UG, der Hersteller der Meteobridge-Software, übernimmt ebenfalls keine Herstellergewährleistung. Da die Router sehr günstig sind, ist das finanzielle Risiko, ein Gerät durch das Aufspielen der neuen Firmware unbrauchbar zu machen, eher gering. Trotzdem sollte man sich bewusst sein, dass man dieses Risiko alleine trägt. Wer sich damit nicht anfreunden kann, dem seien die Meteobridge-Reseller ans Herz gelegt, die fertige Meteobridge Lösungen inklusive SW-Lizenz schlüsselfertig anbieten.

That means, when the device gets faulty later on, you can't reach out to TP-LINK, D-Link or ASUS for warranty. smartbedded UG, which owns the Meteobridge software, does also not provide any warranty on flashed device. As the routers are very cheap and risk of bricking the device is minimal, you don't have a significant financial exposure. However, you have to know, that you are converting the router into a Meteobridge at your own risk. If you don't want to take the risk, please buy a ready-made Meteobridge solution from one of the resellers or you go with a Meteobridge PRO.
